ART THEME: VICTORIAN ART
The Victorian Era in art began with a return
of artistic realism. This Era reflects the
cultural and political gains of England during the reign of Queen
Victoria. This time is history had many
technological advances allowing for many middle class citizens to enjoy a high
level of prosperity which is showcased in the art, architecture and fashion
finery.
FIRST PROJECT: Victorian Homes
Students used line to create shape and value in their Victorian architectural studies. The Victorian homes featured many Roman architectural features. Columns, symmetrical features, 6 over 6 windows, the arch, fanlights and scroll work are just some of the elements seen in the students art.

Second Project: Quilling is an art form which became popular during the Victorian Era. Strips of paper are coiled and folded into textural relief images.
Victorian Teapots
