The circle is a universal symbol with many meanings. In different cultures the circle may represent totality, wholeness, infinity, the circle of life, cyclic movement, the sun, the universe or the notion of wholeness and self realization.

Project 1: Anyone Can do Circles. Students used circles and visual imagery to map out and connect scenes and important events in their lives.
Project 2: Recycled smashed can circular bottoms create an interesting medium for students to create and paint colorful portraits.
Project 3: Clay Fish Bowls. What is in your round fish bowl?
Project 4: Understanding foreshortening. Students had to depict something which is larger in the front because it is closer to the viewer and then gets smaller as they go back in space.
Project 5: Charcoal and Pastel Still Life. Students observed and rendered a still life. Students used line, shape, overlapping, size, value and contrast to render an image.
