ART THEME: IRISH CULTURE
Students will used visual creativity to develop an understanding of this culture and traditional values. The study of the Irish art articulates customs and significant ideals. The Irish immigrated into this country bringing many customs which Americans have assimilated into the American culture.
FIRST PROJECT: Celtic Knots
The mystic knot, or the endless knot represents or symbolizes to beginnings and or never endings. Students were challenged to create their own knot using symmetry and showing their knowledge of how to create depth depicting the over and under effect.

SECOND PROJECT: Over the Rainbow. Students developed their designs and colored images using the colors of the rainbow. Students developed their understanding of how to create contrast using color. Student practice coloring for pigmentation and quality.
