SECOND PROJECT: Zoomorphic Designs are interwoven designs of Celtic beasts and other fantastic creatures whose origin can be traced back to the earliest northern European civilization. The Celts not only relied on animals for survival, but they respected and honored them. The Celtic patterns were designed from a variety of different components including interlacing ribbon, knots and swirls, each with its own specific meaning. Celtic manuscripts incorporated a lot of intricate design, decorative initial letters and mythical animals.
Irish Castles: Students built sand castles using clay and sand.
